Livre Docente pela Universidade de São Paulo - USP em 2015, Doutor e Mestre em Química na área de Polímeros pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas-UNICAMP (1999-2005) e Bacharel e Licenciado em Química pela Universidade Federal de Viçosa-UFV (1994-1998). É docente da Escola de Engenharia de Lorena da Universidade de São Paulo - EEL/USP, integrado ao Departamento de Engenharia de Materiais - DEMAR desde 2005 no cargo de Professor Associado MS-5 . Na linha principal de pesquisa desenvolve, coordena e orienta trabalhos sobre a reciclagem mecânica de polímeros.
